On December 22nd, 2023, Microsoft have announced a revised date for the launch of public sector offers into the CSP New Commerce Experience (NCE) which will now start on March 1st, 2024, instead of the previous January 1st, 2024, date that was announced in November 2023.

Microsoft will launch the CSP education & nonprofit offers in a four-wave approach as shown in the table below:

The highest customer volume offers will be launched in Wave 1 and Wave 2 with remaining offers being launched in subsequent waves.



Microsoft-led migrations will begin for public sector offers from July 1st, 2024.

Next steps

• Review your customers current renewal dates for existing Education, and not-for-profit subscriptions. 
• Begin purchasing new Education and not-for-profit Wave 1 subscriptions in NCE from March 2024 through CORE. 
• Start planning for moving existing subscriptions into NCE from March 2024.
